Gooday, eh. The steelhead fishing is upon us again and the
day we had was incredible. The hooked and lost fish was starting
to anger me but after some great advice and some commen sense
the rest of the day, all fish were landed.
We used floated roe with a float that was designed and painted
by, Archie Begin, longtime resident and assistant guide, that
he calls the fish finder float. The reason being Steelies
have hit the float numerous times before, thinking its food.
Wow! What a suprise you get when it happens.
We floated the Kitimat River and the log jams were a real
pain, as the river was dangerous. I recommend that you go
with a guide if you are planning to do a drift. The water
is very tricky and splits numerous times, so picking the proper
channel is crucial.
We will be guiding all this season and am expecting some
very interesting clientele. ESPN2 sports wants there day on
the river and another world class American guide from Washington
will on the river this month.
As this is our first year in the business we are offering
the lowest prices, and will undercut our competitors. If you
want to hook into some worldclass steelhead or Salmon, contact
us today.
About the good advice I mentioned, always have a sharp hook
and keep your stone handy during the day, as the rocks and
debris will dull your hook.
The site is going to be updated regularly with a angler tips
and all the best flies to use for Trout, Char, steelhead and
Salmon.
Enjoy the site, take your time, be patient, pretend your
on the river, TIGHT LINES!
