August 6th 2009 fishing report Kitimat and Skeena BC
Hot Hot Hot! Yes we have broken record temperatures the past few weeks, and also cracked some nice Salmon. Attached in Pic 1 is guided angler Donnal with a fresh Sockeye Salmon some 100 miles above the Skeena River. When the Salmon run they come in bunches in Skeena country. We spent allot of our time in the Kitimat area and the numbers of fish have far exceeded our expectations. The Pink and Chum Salmon returns are very good and the flyfishers are catching numbers in the teens and beyond per day.
The Saltwater fishing in the Kitimat and Skeena area is awesome as Coho Salmon are very abundant with fresh catches.
Pic 2 is of Mr. Killian hooked up on a Kitimat Salmon with his speyrod.
Pic 3 is of Mr. Quinn with a fly caught Chinook Salmon.
Pic 4 is Paddy with a running fish in the tail water.
Pic 5 is a small sample of the Chinook fishing on the Skeena.
Pic 6 is a large Chum Salmon we landed on the Saltwater near Kitimat, as well many Coho.
I have attached the pics from the past weeks with our group bookings and have included the full picture spread in our photo gallery www.kitimatadventures.com
Arriving guests this week from England, Japan and Germany.
