Kitimat River Fishing Report June 25, 2009
This week the threesome from South Africa were in town for some nookie, and the boys caught some nice chrome fish, attached are a few of the fish Reghard and Frikkie ( aka the Dill Pickle) caught as well their friend Sleeman's. Many other photos we posted on our website. The fellas had a great time drifting the river as well jetboat tours in the estuary for fresh sea run Chinook, not to mention a taste of fresh Dungeness Crab.
Our large group for the start of the season, was a 2 man trip a few years ago and has now grown to a 8 man trip, with more to follow as this past week has been full of fun and fish. The boys are calling it the Double Double Tournament as each year they get double headers on the Chinook. Most days on the water we were into 4-8 Chinooks a day, all very fresh and agressive. One of our better days on the water we had 3 double headers in less than 2 hours, lets say the fish are coming in hard now.
Saltwater trips are also very good as Halibut and other bottom fish are in the area.
Attached are some of the guests with fresh ones.
Next weeks guests are the Hassell, Grays, Mary and Mel, and Darrell and friend from Whitecourt AB so another good week of fishing the Kitimat area.
