Steelhead report Kitimat Region
With the Steelhead season coming to end and the Saltwater Chinook fishery just starting, I want to share some pics of our clients from Texas, California, Scotland and Ireland. Our longest repeats for spring Steelhead Ed and Thurm, are both holding a Steelhead of excellent quality. Thurm took his nice buck on a swung Purple Articulated and Ed took this chrome hen on a Green Butt Skunk.
The fellas from overseas also met heads up with the Steel as Dom had this hen take him deep into the backing before falling to the net. As well Gordon and Dom smiling for a group pic of another sizeable North Coast BC Steelhead.
On the cover of this years BC Freshwater Regulations is a photo of Roderick-Haig Brown. For any of you who are members of a fishing club or organization in BC and perhaps the world, it was because of this man and his desire to keep fishing a large part of the BC culture. What I respect about this man is his comment, that if you want to catch fish, use the fly as it’s the hardest method.
